HIFU Non-Surgical Facelift:

HIFU stands for “High Intensity Focus Ultrasound. This is a breakthrough, non-invasive, non-surgical procedure which requires no down time. This procedure targets lifting and tightening the skin, the brow area, cheeks, lower face to include jowls, and jawline. It can also be used on the neck area. Ultrasound technology focuses below the skin surface to firm and lift droopy tissues.

It works deep below the surface to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin without harming the outer tissue. This gives you a more youthful appearance after just one treatment. While HIFU is not a replacement for a surgical facelift, there are many people who want some lifting but are not ready for surgical intervention. There are also younger people who are looking to prolong the effects of plastic surgery.

How long do the results of HIFU last? HIFU results are considered permanent and will continue to improve gradually for up to 6 months following the treatment. You will not be frozen in time after 6 months. As with any skin treatment, your skin will continue to age. However, HIFU can give you a fresher, younger looking appearance for approximately 24 months after your treatment.

How painful is HIFU? HIFU is a very comfortable procedure. If you experience discomfort a topical numbing solution can be applied. However, most clients tolerate the treatment well and say they can barely feel anything. During the treatment you may feel tiny amounts of energy that are being deposited into precise depths. This is an indicator that the collagen building process has been initiated. After your treatment there is no down-time. You can return to your normal activities immediately afterwards without any post treatment restrictions or requirements.

Your skin may appear flushed at first, but this will diminish within several minutes after receiving the treatment. Other very uncommon post treatment effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on a small area of the skin. As with many procedures there is always a possibility of rare side effects.

How long does it take to see results with HIFU? Many individuals see an immediate lift and toning to the face. As HIFU targets the “SMASS” layer which is the layer in which your facial muscles are located, you can see a difference in the muscle tone and in the skin being firmer and tighter. You may also notice a more lifted appearance. The full results of a HIFU treatment can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months to see the maximum results after receiving the HIFU treatment.
